1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract. You may create an account with an email address or by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for everything done through it.

2. What the service does

Toastivo runs a guided voice interview, transcribes your answers, summarises the story in them, drafts speech versions you can edit and refine, and offers a rehearsal mode with coaching notes. Speeches can be exported and read in a presentation mode.

Parts of the service are free. Unlocking the crafted speech experience for a given speech is a one-time paid purchase.

3. Your content and your responsibility for it

You keep ownership of everything you record, type or upload, and of the speeches produced from it.

You confirm that you have the right to submit the material — including stories about other people — and that it is not unlawful, defamatory or infringing. You are responsible for what you choose to say publicly at an event.

4. The rights you grant us

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, transcribe, process and display your content solely to operate the service for you and to provide support. The licence lasts only as long as we hold the content, and ends when you delete it.

We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.

5. AI-assisted output

Speeches, summaries, follow-up questions and coaching notes are generated with AI. They can contain mistakes, misremember details, or produce phrasing that resembles other writing. Review and edit anything before you use it.

We do not guarantee that output is accurate, suitable for your occasion, or original, and we do not guarantee any particular result at your event.

6. Payments, pricing and taxes

The paid unlock is a one-time purchase of USD 29.00 per speech, charged through Stripe Checkout. Applicable taxes are calculated and shown at checkout. Prices may change for future purchases; a change never affects a purchase already made.

Refunds and cancellations: if the finished speech isn't usable for you, contact us through www.toastivo.com/contact within 14 days of your purchase, tell us what went wrong, and we will refund the amount paid in full to the original payment method. One unlock, one refund. Nothing here removes statutory rights you may have as a consumer, including any right of withdrawal for digital content — note that where you ask for immediate access to generated content, that right may end once delivery begins.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use Toastivo to create or distribute unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory or sexually exploitative material; to impersonate someone; to submit another person's recordings without their agreement; to attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours; to scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the service; or to interfere with its operation or security.

We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that breach this section.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, including how audio is transmitted for transcription and how AI processing works. It forms part of these terms.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Toastivo available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may add, modify or discontinue parts of the service. Keep your own copy — export it — of anything you cannot afford to lose.

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here, and continued use after a material change means you accept it.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of opportunity, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Termination and deletion

You can stop using Toastivo at any time and delete individual speeches in the app. To delete your account and everything in it, write to us and we will action it.

We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or where we are required to by law.

12. Governing law and disputes

Governing law and the courts that have jurisdiction: the laws of Quebec, Canada, and the courts of Quebec. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
