This describes what Toastivo actually does with your material today. It is a plain description of the product, not legal advice.
What we hold
Before you create an account, your answers, transcripts and recordings stay in your browser on this device. After you sign in, your project — onboarding choices, interview answers, transcripts, the story summary, drafts and versions — is stored in your private account, and your recordings are uploaded to private storage.
Who can read it
Only the signed-in account that owns a project can read or change it. Access is enforced by the database itself, not just the app. Recordings are served through short-lived signed links and are never public URLs.
AI processing
To transcribe your recordings and write your speech, the audio and text you provide are sent to AI model providers. Your account identity is not included in those requests.
Deleting
Deleting a speech removes it from your account. This is an early product; if you want everything removed, ask us and we will do it manually.
